Unexpected visit.

Safaree sat there in disbelief for about 40 minutes until Nicki & the crew walked back into the house, laughing.


"Oh hey babe." Nicki said, trying to kiss SB.


He dodged it.


"Stop playing" she said, playfully punching him.


He had a dead serious face on, so she knew something was wrong.


"Baby what happened?" she said, sounding worried.


He didn't reply, instead he pressed play & had the voicemail play Devon's.


She couldn't believe this was happening. Why would Devon even think to call her again.


Mama Carol felt like she was intruding & they needed their privacy.


"Well .  .  . girls lets go in the kitchen & give them their alone time." Mama Carol said.


The girls followed behind Mama into the kitchen.


"So you're still talking to him?..."


Nicki couldn't even think of what to say, she was close to tears.


"Oh don't start that crying shit now, you have to deal with this." Safaree said. He hated to see her cry but this just had to be dealt with.


"Babe, I don't know why the hell he's calling. I haven't talked to him since lord knows when."


"You're lying. Just tell the truth babe."


"Nobody's lying, I told you the truth, if you don't believe me, call him."


He didn't know what to say. He didn't wanna blame her, yet he didn't wanna give in & believe her & yet she's lying.


She started walking to the kitchen.


"Nicki .  .  ."


"Oh hush. Doesn't seem like you believe me. I would NEVER do something like that"

As she opened the door to the kitchen, Candi, Lauren, TT & SB's sister fell to floor.


"What the hell??? That's what y'all get for being nosey." Nicki & Mama Carol laughed.


Nicki went & sat down by the counter.


"So what happened?" Mama said.


"He doesn't believe me. Why would I even talk to Devon when I'm engaged now? I mean like..." Nicki said.


"Damn..." Candi said.


"Don't be mad for him being concerned. Even if you guys weren't together I think he would still be worried. It's not a really smart idea to keep contact with someone who beat you." Lauren said.


"Damn Lauren.... do you have to be right EVERYYYY TIME?!?!" Nicki said.


"Yes!!" Lauren smiled.


"Don't get hype bew!" Nicki said.


"Ugh what am I gonna do about this boy?" she said, letting out a heavy sigh.


"Do what you feel is right. Just remember, you have a great man who loves you no matter what." Mama said.


"I know I know . . ."


She was tired of this Devon non sense, she would just take matters into her own hands.


She texted him.


Meet me at Georgey Park, 5:30.  - Nicki

She rolled her eyes & just walked upstairs. She needed some me time. She was sure there would be some arguing between her & Devon later on.

Nicki pulled up to the park, which was almost empty.


She saw Devon & walked up to him & sat down at the table.


"Hi baby!!" Devon said.


Nicki slapped him.


"What the fuck are you calling my phone for talking about you miss me & that you're in LA. Are you fucking crazy?" she said.


"Baby what's wrong?"


"Look, I'm not your baby. Incase you didn't know, Safaree is my man. Get that thru your mind."


His eyes got bigger in disbelief of what she was saying.


"WHAAAAAT?? Why would you date someone like that nigga? He aint got shit for you. I'm who you should be with Nic."


"Do you love me?"


"Yes and I thi..." Nicki shh'd him.


"All I needed was a yes or no. Now if you really loved me, you should just let me be happy with my life which I am." Nicki said.


"Don't you remember all the good times & memories we've made together?" he said.


He smiled.


"Yea... just like I also miss getting beat up by you."


"You aint even have to bring that up..."


"And you aint have to call me, but YOU DID!!! Just face it Devon, you blew it. I still have love for you, but that's just not enough. Safaree gives exactly what I need. Safaree stepped up. Me & him are getting married this summer. Just be happy for me. Now you take care, I have somewhere to be.."


She held his face & just stared into his eyes. Letting a love go is one of the hardest things to do. But thing's happen.


"Goodbye Devon." she said dramatically & looked at him one last time.


She hugged him & left.


The truth is she did still have somewhat of a soft spot for him. If she wasn't with Safaree she'd probably be all over him right now.


He sat their in misery. He couldn't believe that  she's getting married.


He aint giving up, he's gonna do everything in his power to win Nicki back.

Safaree had just woken up from his little nap. He was finally over it & believed Nicki. He just hoped she wasn't mad at him.


His phone received a message.


He got all happy thinking it was her. He knew she couldn't stop thinking about him when she went to handle things on her own.


It was a picture message from Rex.


It showed Nicki & Devon hugging.


Captioned: "Say it aint so."
